Winter is wandering in at Lafayette Square. The Solo Committee is delighted that so many of you have enjoyed our Christmas CD already. We wish all of you a Christ filled holiday season.

Every Christmas Morn is a great gift or stocking stuffer, so if you are still finishing your Christmas preparations, click over to the Albums page and get one or two. Play it in your car, or your kitchen, and wherever you are enjoy the calm, comforting message.

Even before Susan, Sue and Carey got together to be The Solo Committee, we were cooking up songs along with the Christmas turkey. One or two of the songs on Every Christmas Morn were first conceived when Christmas was still full of stockings and toys, Santa and Sinterklaas. Out of the yearning to experience a deeper, more spiritual sense of Christmas, songs were born to share in our annual gathering of friends and family, where everyone sings. This yearning is what comes out in the collection of songs on Every Christmas Morn.

One of the delights of writing songs for the Sunday lesson for many years is that there is almost always a song ready to hand for this week’s music. One week recently, Carey and Sue read thru the Christian Science Bible lesson and could pick a Solo Committee song for almost every section! Lately we have been content to rely on our collection to provide us with Sunday solos, but as we settle in for the winter, new songs are likely to pop out.

The Solo Committee continues to hear from folks who have been helped and healed by our music, and are always so grateful when you write to let us know. A listener who keeps 3 Steps And A Bounce and G is for God in her car CD player said “the upbeat melodies, with seemingly simple but really profound metaphysical messages… have been uplifting and cheerful accompaniment in my travels. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration.”

Come visit The Solo Committee at the Christian Science Society on Lafayette Square in St Louis. We might sing an old favorite, or you might hear a new offering, but we promise that whatever you hear, it will be a heartfelt and honest message of comfort and healing.

Our Christmas CD has arrived and we are as proud as new parents. We are so excited to share it with everyone. You’ll find it’s pretty star, by Ginger Mack, on our album page, where you can listen to the songs, see the words and find chords to many songs. And don’t miss the sheet music – yes, we wrote down notes – so you can share the songs with your church and friends. You can order the CD on the mail-in order sheet, or via Paypal on the album page.

Every Christmas Morn has new songs we have written for Christmas, new songs by our friends, a new setting of Mary Baker Eddy’s ‘Christmas Morn’, interspersed with traditional carols. Family and friends join us in some of the songs. We have recorded some instrumentals of old favorite carols that you will know and love, to weave in with the new songs that will uplift and inspire. We hope you will love the great variety and fresh inspiration.
